The data comes from NSS, the Astrological Software Services. Support for the Essbase extension is included. It is still quite simple to get the extensions up and running, but now a few steps are involved. The latest version has considerably improved the support for extensions. ![]() The support for extensions (which may be written in C, or even VB) is also significantly improved. In the past, support for extension was limited to a separate download of about 20 megabytes. ![]() The program itself has been rewritten for this release from scratch. It has an excellent interface and a wealth of features. And it is free. For a program that has been around since 1999, Janus 5 feels contemporary and polished. Janus 5 is a robust program for using astrology in conjunction with other forms of information. It will run under OSX 10.6 and 10.7, and probably 10.8, although I haven't tested that.
